transforming organizations through design education

Bodystorming is a common method we teach to prototype concepts.

Cooper Professional Education, the educational arm of pioneer interaction design firm Cooper (now part of Designit), has offered public classes and corporate training for well over a decade. With Cooper Professional Education, I’ve had the privilege of developing and teaching multi-day courses on service design, design research, and design leadership to people from various industries, sectors, organization sizes, departments, and seniority levels for the past two years.

adapting pedagogy to remote environments

Due to the constraints of the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve had to move our traditionally screen-free educational experiences to a completely digital environment. I have been deconstructing our educational offerings and building “natively remote” methods of delivering our immersive style of learning. I’m glad to report that remote students still find our courses to be energizing breaths of fresh air even in their perpetual work-from-home settings.
